Mapping Karachi: The Urban Repository Archive (URA) 

Last year, Art South Asia Project (ASAP) proudly supported The Urban Repository Archive (URA), an initiative by the Fine Art Department at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi @ivs.fineart , as one of its grantees. This marked the first university-based project funded through ASAP’s grant cycle. The URA focuses on exploring and documenting Karachi through the lens of students’ work over the last 10 years.

Seher Naveed and Veera Rustomji presented the URA project and research and discussed with Malay Yamey, Programme Curator at ASAP the establishment of the URA, the significance of archiving student work, and the role of art and research in mapping the evolving landscape of Karachi.
